Υπόθεση:
Oταν ο πιλότος Hal Jordan πάρει ένα μυστιριώδες δαχτυλίδι απο ένα εξωγήινο θα μεταμορφωθεί σε Green Lantern,όμως για να καταφέρει να μπεί στο σώμα των υπερασπιστών του σύμπαντος θα χρειαστεί εκπαίδευση ,την οποία θα αναλάβει ο Sinestro...... Στο Green Lantern: First Flight ο Hal Jordan στρατολογείται από το Green Lantern Corps και τοποθετείται υπό την επίβλεψη του αξιοσέβαστου Sinestro. Ο γήινος ανακαλύπτει σύντομα ότι ο μέντοράς του είναι στην ουσία η κεντρική φιγούρα πάνω στην οποία στηρίζεται μια συνομωσία που απειλεί τη φιλοσοφία, τις παραδόσεις και την ιεραρχία ολόκληρου του Green Lantern Corps.
